10/17 Learning Reflections

This week we mainly worked on a group project. Our group project was divided into 5 parts. My part was to research client server architecture and provide photo examples. We have a leader on our team. She showed true leadership skills and made sure everyone was on task and doing the assignment correctly. I also learned of the 7x7 rule of power points presentations.

These podcasts were very good. The first one describes one person's experience as a free lancer worker. The other was describing code discrimination in today's work ethics

Learning Refelctions

During last week, I learned a lot in Photoshop. I take Photoshop in school and I am pretty new to it. I learned to move a shape a certain way, create nice background and how to alter a photo without creating one. Even though I didn't want this class< i really enjoy it and hope to enjoy it for the rest of the term.

Netiquette

Netiquette is the moral code of the world wide web. The importance of a good netiquette is that you will conduct yourself in a manner in which respectful and mature about what you do or say on the Internet. Areas in which you could have proper netiquette is on a social networking site such as Facebook or Twitter. I believe my netiquette is good I don't say or post offensive material on any sites.

Digital Footprint

A digital footprint is a trail that you leave on the digital world via social networking, mobile phone etc.

The importance of a positive digital footprint is that it tells other who you exactly are. If you have a bad digital footprint, it can lead others to think that you are not a good person especially if you are applying for a job. If you have a positive one then people will think highly of you and your associations will have a possible affect on you.

I don't usually show up on Google except for my Facebook page and meanings for my name.

Academic Integrity

Academic Integrity is the moral code that you have to follow when it comes to academics

Plagiarism is the act of stealing one's thoughts or ideas and making them your own without giving credit.

These two are important because it is important to be honest in your work and to be original. The consequences can range from moderate to severe actions. You can either receive no credit for the work or get expelled.
